This morning, the Holy Spirit revealed to me something powerful. When you fully understand this, you will be a "man or woman after God's own heart."
The mistake many people make is to always feel like the "want" to know Jesus or that they "wish" that Jesus would bless them or help them. Or they believe he is "going to" work everything out for good.
But if you really want those things, you have to own them now. In other words, change your mindset from thinking "future tense" into "present tense."
So instead of "wanting" to know Jesus, believe that you already know him! Just take God's Word and declare it aloud, from your own lips. In Jeremiah 24:7, God prophesied about the time we are living in right now. He said, "I will give them a heart to know me." Jesus already came, and he came to reveal the Father (God).
Declare, "The Word of God says that God has given me a heart to know Him. So I boldly declare in Jesus' name that I know the Lord, and my heart follows after him."
Brothers and Sisters, when you fully grasp this, new doors will open up for you and you will enter new spiritual "rooms" that you never dreamed existed!
Some people think that the greatest things happen instantly, but usually it happens over a period of time. Just like it takes time and dedication to build up your body physically, so also it takes time to build up your body spiritually.
Start with seemingly small things. Eliminate anything that influences you to think that you "will" be a man or woman after God's heart, and surround and immerse yourself with people and teachings that influence you to believe that you already "are" a man or woman after God's own heart.
